Paediatric First Aid – 12 Hour Infant / Child

A 12 hour paediatric first aid training course that meets and exceeds the requirements laid down by Ofsted, EYFS, CSSIW and SureStart for people requiring the two-day 12 contact hour paediatric first aid course for Infants and children.

This group includes childminders and carers. The HSE and Ofsted also recommend that all paediatric first aiders complete an annual paediatric first aid refresher course each year.  Our Paediatric courses are approved by councils across the UK. Our Paediatric courses meet the latest 2019 learning outcomes laid down by the Awarding Organisations.

Course Curriculum

This course covers the required learning outcomes, including roles and responsibilities, differentiate between infant and child, providing first aid to an infant or child that is unresponsive, provide first aid to an infant or child that is choking, provide first aid to an infant or child that is bleeding, provide first aid to an infant or child suffering shock, treating bites, stings and minor injuries.

Identifying and treating paediatric sudden illness’s, injuries and medical emergencies, including suspected bone, joint and muscle injuries. Treating suspected head and spinal injuries. Treating conditions effecting the eye, ear and nose. Know how to recognise and provide first aid to an infant or child suffering from an acute medical condition or illness including, asthma, allergic reaction, diabetes, febrile convulsion and meningitis. Other subjects taught include recognition and treatment for burns and scalds, poisoning, electric shock and anaphylaxis.

Course Fees

This course delivered at your UK venue for up to 12 persons, will be charged at £650 fully inclusive.

This includes certification and on-line training manual to each delegate attending.

Those wishing to join our open course programmes will be charged at £130 per person attending.
