Full Paediatric First Aid

A full 12 hour paediatric first aid training course for those working within the early years setting. The training meets specific first aid skills for staff working with young children and infants. 

Topics covered

Topics include the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider and providing first aid for an infant or child who is unresponsive and breathing normally. This qualification also covers how to administer first aid to an infant or child who is not breathing normally, including how to perform CPR and safe use of an AED in children, and those choking or suffering from hypovolemic shock, head and spinal injuries, anaphylaxis and treating minor injuries.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration, oral questioning and completing a multi-choice question paper.

Certification 

Those successfully completing this course will be awarded the QNUK L3 Award in Paediatric First Aid, that is valid for 3 years.

Under the current guidelines it is ”strongly recommended” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months – before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.

The cost of this course is £600 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 6.

The cost of this course is £900 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group up to 12.

The cost of this course for individuals attending our training centres is £150 per person fully inclusive.
