Forest School First Aid – 16 Hour Course

A 2-day Forest School first aid training course for those working in Forest School settings and who require a specific forest school first aid qualification. This training meets the IOL Band 3 standards for their associated providers. 

Topics covered

The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the forest school’s first aider,  how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness when working in a sports coach role. The qualification also covers first aid skills in BLS, CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as head, chest & spinal injuries, anaphylaxis, hypothermia, drowning and casulty monitoring.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration, oral questioning and completing a multi-choice question paper.

Certification 

Those succesfully completing this training will be awarded the QNUK L3 Award in Forest School First Aid (RQF) that is valid for 3 years.

Under the current guidelines it is ”strongly recommended” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months – before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.

The cost of this course is £800 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 6.

The cost of this course is £1000 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group up to 12.

The cost of this course for individuals attending our training centres is £150 per person fully inclusive.

The above prices includes certification and manual. There are no additional costs.
