First Aid at Work – Re-qualification Course

A two-day first aid at work re-qualification training course meeting the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This training can be adapted for a variety of workplace environments including the construction and forestry sectors.

Topics covered

The qualification renews the learners knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstrations, oral and written questioning.


Students are required to hold a current in-date FAW certificate at the start of their re qualification training.

Successful students will be awarded the relevant ProTrainings Level 3 First Aid Certificate (VTQ) as required.

Under the current guidelines it is ”strongly recommended” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months – before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.

The cost of this course is £600 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 6.first aid training

The cost of this course is £800 fully inclusive, when run at your venue. This is for a group up to 12.

The cost of this course for individuals attending our training centres is £200 per person fully inclusive.

The above prices includes certification and electronic manual. There are no additional costs.
