Safeguarding Children & Young People

Who should attend?

Attending this training provides those working with children and young people the knowledge on how to recognise and respond to cases of alleged or suspected abuse. Successfully completing this training fulfills and meets the needs of the following sectors but not limited to:

  • the Designated Senior Person for child protection within an organisation/business
  • Sports coaches, Sports trainers & Outdoor instructors working with young people
  • Teachers, Tutors and Head teachers
  • Classroom assistants
  • SEN Co-ordinators
  • Any person working in educational settings who may deal with young people, Forest Schools & Outdoor Education settings for example.
  • Those involved in the transportation of children, for example bus, minibus and taxi drivers
  • Qualified nurses & Newly Qualified Nurses who work with children and young people
  • Paramedics & Newly Qualified Paramedics who work with young children
  • Event Medical Providers, such as First aiders, Event medics, Ambulance technicians and Emergency Health Care Assistants and Dental assistants for exampleSafeguarding Children in Adventure Sports
  • Health and social care support workers, managers and professionals in care homes
  • Youth workers
  • Children’s entertainers
  • Driving instructors
  • Social workers
  • Volunteers working with children and young people especially in after school or sports clubs

British Canoeing
Attendance of the QNUK Level 3 Award in Safeguarding Children & Young People qualification from Remote First Aid (Responsive Emergency Care REC Training) will count towards the safeguarding component of the British Canoeing Coach Update Scheme. SPC-G14

Qualification accreditation number: 601/7305/1

At your UK venue at a date and time to suit your organisations statutory needs.

Assessment & certification

To achieve this award learners are required to complete a portfolio of evidence throughout the days training and sit a multi-choice exam paper. They must achieve a minimum of 70% to pass mark from the multi-choice paper.

6 hours.

Prices & booking

The cost of this course delivery is £399.99 for up to 6 delegates or £699.99 for up to 12 delegates at your UK venue. There are no additional fees. Course fees, cover delegate registration, delegate workbook, assessments and certification that is valid for 3 years. Open course fees are £99.99 per person attending.
