Football Association Approved IFAiF – EFAW Requalification

A one-day Football Association recognised QNUK Emergency First Aid at Work requalification training & assessment course for the FA coach. All FA coaches are required to have first attended the mandatory FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) course when undertaking their first coaching course. with the FA. At the 3-year point by succefully completing this training course the FA will recognise this first aid certificate. Delegates are required to confirm with their local County FA team, that they have read & understood the FA bridging document. This can be read here. 

The Emergency First Aid at Work course provides basic training for people who are required to be emergency first aiders within the workplace and is recognised by the FA for their coaching requirements. The course syllabus is as specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is fully compliant with The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. The FA recognise that the HSE still ensures first aid provision within the workplace is adequate when carrying out inspections on premises, but it is now the employer’s responsibility to source (or provide) first aid training that is of an appropriate level based on their first aid risk assessment, and to ensure that the training accessed is of a high quality.

Assessment & certification
To achieve this award learners are required to complete a number of practical tests and sit a multi-choice exam paper. They must achieve a minimum of 70% to pass mark from the multi-choice paper.
