Emergency First Aid at Work (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding)

We deliver this fully regulated Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding) qualification that is recognised by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations in England, the Welsh Government Regulator Qualification in Wales and the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment in Northern Ireland that fulfills the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, and the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations Northern Ireland 2017, where an employers needs assessment has identified the requirement for Emergency First Aider (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding) in the workplace. This qualification includes management of catastrophic bleeding, only included, as outlined by the HSE, for those working in high risk environments where this injury is a significant risk to employees.

The Emergency First Aid at Work (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding) course provides first aid training for people who are required to be emergency first aiders + F within the workplace which includes that additional subjects the FC require to be taught.. The course syllabus is as specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and is fully compliant with The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. It also fulfills the requirements for those working on Forestry Commission land where forestry operations are taking place.

Assessment & certification
To achieve this award learners are required to complete a number of practical tests and sit a multi-choice exam paper. They must achieve a minimum of 70% to pass mark from the multi-choice paper.

Those wishing to enrol on to our open course programme will be charged at £129.99 pp and includes manual to each student light beverages & light buffet lunch. Successful students will be awarded the QNUK Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Management of Catastrophic Bleeding) certificate that is valid for 3 years. There are no additional fees.
