APPOINTED PERSONS

Course aims

• Assess and prioritise a First Aid incident
• Summon the Emergency services
• Deal with an unconscious casualty
• Control bleeding and manage shock
• To recognise and deal with a wide range of common injuries
• Maintain records

• Use and maintain First Aid kits

Successful Candidates will be awarded the 'Appointed Persons' certificate which is approved by the HSE & HSENI and will able to demonstrate the following.

Course duration:

7 hours

The Certificate will be valid for 3 years.

Assessment is continuous by the course tutor throughout the day.
