No previous knowledge of first aid is required to attend and
candidates must be aged 14 years and above to join this programme.
Suitable for:
The Activity First Aid programme lasts 12 hours and is delivered over 2-days (6 hours each day) and is suitable for the sports person, coach, spectator or other involved adult. Includes basic life support and illness management topics plus covering key sports topics such as return to play decisions, managing specialist sports kit such as gum shields, when to and not to use ice, and sports specific first aid such as managing winding, blows to testicles, dead leg, possible compartment syndrome and other sports related first aid concerns.

This qualification 'license to practice' is revalidated by attending another Sport First Aid course in 3 years time.
